STUPID FRESH- UK- Crunk Electro/ Fidget

The story began back in 2005 when the boys met a DJ competition in Leeds. Sharing a love of naughty basslines and 80s pop, they decided to hook up and make some beats. Little did they know of the monster they would create.

After getting mad props from the Leeds scene, the track ‘Ho’ was licensed by Chew The Fat! and took pride of place on Hook n’ Sling’s compilation for the brand in July 2007. The buzz soon grew. It wasn’t too long before Tod and Chris had hooked up with Bomb Squad head honcho Micky Slim, who snapped them up for the ‘Sticky Fingers’ EP, which sent download sites into overdrive.

Since then, it’s been a whirlwind of airports, clubs, parties and one or two embarrassing incidents along the way. Stupid Fresh have achieved everything from becoming virtual pop stars down under with their remix of The Aston Shuffle’s ‘For Everyone’ ramraiding the Aria charts at Number 1 and getting their tunes played by Moby, to being urinated on by a noted hard dance DJ (who shall not be named) in Ibiza. Judge Jules loved them so much after their appearance at Judgement Sundays in San Antonio that he invited them to stay another week, while a mammoth tour of Australia in 2008 led to Ministry of Sound selecting them for another Aussie jaunt this year. Safe to say, it’s been busy.

Now, as Stupid Fresh sit astride the world of electronic dancefloor music like a veritable colossus, continuing to lead where many can only follow, they’ve turned their attention to a new live project, and also have a mix album in the pipeline for Vacation Records. With all this and more to look forward to, all the signs are pointing to 2009 being stupider, and indeed, fresher than any since. Watch out world.

"Stupid Fresh are the final word when it comes to quality jackin’ club music. Their records never fail." Bass Kleph

If you haven’t yet encountered Stupid Fresh - without doubt the stupidest, FRESHEST purveyors of full-fat jacking house music anybody has heard this millennium - then well there hell have you been?

The duo - Tod Hodge and Chris Elliot to their mums - have very quickly risen from virtual unknowns to download chart-roasting, scene-leading heroes of international renown. And when they’re knocking out some of the most eye-wateringly effective dancefloor music of recent years, it’s hardly surprising, is it?

Logan Hudak - CAN - Electro/Techno

http://WWW.WICKEDBAD.NET/LOGANHUDAK
http://WWW.MYSPACE.COM/LOG4NHUD4K

Logan Hudak is a familiar name in Canada’s East Coast Dj Scene. The driving force behind countless techno, tech house, electro and funk nights in Halifax Nova Scotia and the surrounding areas, Logan is dedicated to shaking dance floors. Touring throughout the Maritime Provinces to perform at new and established club nights, venues and private parties has taught Logan the skills he needs to rock the house. A true student of dance floor dynamics, his sets are based around tough techno beats and bass lines mixed up with the overwhelming electro sounds of today, the in your face punch of a solid break beat and the eerie surroundings of pulsing minimal. His creativity, energy and true love for music and the language of dance comes through loud and clear at every performance.

KulA - CAN - Indie Dance/Electro, Tech

KulA is nowhere near new to the electronic music scene. His interest and curiosity led him astray attending parties all over New Brunswick way back in 1999. Since then, his hunger for electronic music resulted in his attendance at parties spanning across the globe, largely in Canada, United States and Europe. KulA fell in love with electronic music by attending as many events as possible and was blown away by artists such as Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim, Underword, and Darren Emerson, to name a few. In 2006, KulA, founder of Future Productions, was one of the main individuals responsible for throwing some of the greatest electronic music events ever seen in Saint John. Since this time, KulA has taken advantage of every opportunity to perform. His distinct sound is derived from influences by artists including Daft Punk, Riva Starr, Justin Martin, DatA, Royskopp, Alex Metric and many more. KulA with each and everyone one of his performances takes you on a high energy journey through peaks and valleys, with an artistic approach. KulA, with his knowledge and creative abilities behind the decks, this is something you don’t want to miss!
